There are tools called citation indexes that allow you to determine if someone has cited your article in their own writings. We recommend using Social Sciences Citation Index and Science Citation Index and feel free to ask for help if you are overwhelmed. In addition, databases often contain a "cited by" detail into article citations. Here's a sample taken from the database Academic Search Premier: Microfinance and Women's Empowerment: A Lesson from India. By: Leach, Fiona; Sitaram, Shashikala. Development in Practice, Nov2002, Vol. 12 Issue 5, p575-588, 14p; Cited References (14) Times Cited in this Database(3).
