We cannot accept boxes of books dropped off without prior notification. Please first fill out the University Library Donation Form. If you would like to discuss your donation prior to filling out the donation form, please contact Audra M. Deemer, Head of Acquisitions & Collections, at ADEEMER@depaul.edu.

Please review the University Library Gift Policy to ensure that your donation matches DePaul’s list of acceptable materials. A few important things to note:

  • Materials in very good condition which support the teaching and research mission of the university are preferred.
  • The library will not accept duplicate holdings. 
  • The library will donate or discard all gifts not added to the collection.

Generally, we do not add the following items to our collection:

  • textbooks
  • print journals to which we have electronic access
  • material in subject areas not taught within the curriculum
